Frequently asked questions

I already use plug-in surge protectors. Why do I need this?

Plug-in surge suppressors help, but they are not 100% effective. Electronics Surge Protection℠ adds reimbursement for repair or replacement when a surge gets through.

I rent my home. Am I responsible for my electronics?

Renters are typically responsible for damage to their personal electronics unless it's covered by renter's insurance. Electronics Surge Protection℠ is available to both homeowners and renters.

What isn't covered?

The program does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or acts of God (other than lightning).
