Bedroom Furniture

The bedroom is the one room you see first thing every morning and last thing every night, so the furniture in it should make you happy. BrandsMart USA carries beds and bedroom sets, dressers and mirrors, chests, and nightstands in twin through king, from Ashley Furniture, Signature Design by Ashley, Elements, Global Furniture, and Malouf.

What you see here is stock we hold, and each product page shows availability at the store you have selected. Browse the selection below, or compare every furniture category first if you are furnishing more than one room.

Shop Bedroom Furniture by Piece

  • Beds and bedroom sets. Panel beds, platform beds, headboard and footboard kits, and complete bedroom furniture sets in queen, king, full, and twin.
  • Dressers and mirrors. Six- and seven-drawer dressers with matching mirrors, the widest storage piece in most bedrooms.
  • Chests. Tall four- and five-drawer chests of drawers that hold the same clothes in less floor space.
  • Nightstands. Two-drawer nightstands, including models with built-in USB and wireless charging.

The mattress is a separate decision, and it lives in our mattress department, along with bed frames and adjustable bases, box springs and foundations, and bedding. Once the furniture is settled, a pair of bedside lamps and an area rug finish the room.

Why Buy Your Bedroom Furniture from BrandsMart USA

  • Eleven showrooms in Florida and Georgia. Find your nearest store and open the drawers before you buy. Drawer glides and finish quality are the two things a photograph never shows you.
  • Friendly, expert help in the showroom. Our furniture team will talk through bed size against your room measurements, whether you need a box spring, and which finish suits your light, in plain language and without pushing you toward the biggest price tag.
  • Brands worth buying. Ashley Furniture and Signature Design by Ashley, Elements, Global Furniture, and Malouf, across beds, bedroom sets, dressers, chests, and nightstands. See the full brand lineup.
  • The mattress in the same trip. Bedroom furniture and mattresses sit under one roof, so you can match the bed to the mattress and buy the frame or adjustable base at the same time instead of guessing later.
  • Delivery, placement, and haul-away. A bedroom set is a multi-piece job. Our team brings it into the room you choose and can haul away the old furniture on qualifying items.
  • Three ways to spread the cost. The BrandsMart USA credit card offers special financing on qualifying purchases, with no interest if you pay the promotional balance in full within the promotional period. The term length depends on the category and amount. Katapult is lease-to-own, and you can check your buying power without affecting your credit score. Klarna splits a purchase into installments, with a decision in seconds. Each one underwrites differently, so if one is not a fit, another may be.
  • A clear return policy. Our return and refund policy explains how exchanges and refunds work. Most items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery or receipt, with some exceptions, so check the terms before delivery day.
  • Competitive pricing. Our low price guarantee covers the difference if you find an identical item for less at a competitor within 30 days of purchase. Exclusions apply.
  • Protect the investment. Our furniture protection plans go beyond the manufacturer's warranty, covering repairs and replacements.
What size bedroom do I need for a queen bed?

About 10 by 12 feet for a queen bed with nightstands and a dresser. A queen mattress is 60 by 80 inches, and the frame adds a few inches on each side. You want 24 to 30 inches of walkway on both sides and at the foot so that people can get past and drawers can open fully. A queen bed alone fits a 10 by 10 room, but the storage pieces usually will not.

What size bedroom do I need for a king bed?

Around 12 by 12 feet or larger. A standard king mattress is 76 by 80 inches, which is 16 inches wider than a queen. Measure the wall the bed will sit against, add the frame width, and confirm you still have a 24-inch clear walkway on both sides before you add the dresser and chest.

What are the standard bed sizes?

A twin is 38 by 75 inches, a twin XL is 38 by 80 inches, a full is 54 by 75 inches, a queen is 60 by 80 inches, a standard king is 76 by 80 inches, and a California king is 72 by 84 inches. The California king trades four inches of width for four inches of length, which makes it the pick for a tall sleeper in a narrow room.

What comes in a bedroom furniture set?

It varies by set. Common combinations include a bed with a dresser and mirror, or a bed with a dresser, mirror, chest, and one or two nightstands. Some sets are sold as a bed plus one piece, which is where the two-piece and three-piece listings come from. The product page lists exactly what is included, and mattresses are rarely part of a furniture set.

Are bedroom furniture sets cheaper than buying pieces separately?

Usually, yes. A set prices the bed, dresser, and other pieces together for less than the sum of the individual items, and it guarantees matching finishes. Buy separately when you need a specific combination the set does not offer, such as a king bed with a smaller dresser, or when you already own a piece you are keeping.

What is the difference between a dresser and a chest?

A dresser is wide and low, with two columns of drawers and a surface for a mirror or a lamp. A chest is tall and narrow, holding a similar amount of clothing in roughly half the floor space. Take the dresser if you have the wall space for it, the chest if you don't, and both if closet space is tight.

Is solid wood bedroom furniture worth the extra money?

For a main bedroom you intend to keep for a decade, generally yes. Solid wood can be sanded and refinished; it holds resale value, and it survives being moved. For a guest room, a child's room, or a first apartment, veneer over an engineered core does the same job for less. Either way, check the drawer glides and drawer-box construction, because those fail long before the finish does.

What color bedroom furniture is easiest to live with?

White brightens a small or north-facing room and works with any bedding, and a distressed or off-white finish hides scuffs better than a flat white. Gray and light natural wood are the safe modern middle ground. Darker finishes hide wear better and feel more formal, at the cost of making a small room read tighter.

What is a platform bed?

A bed with a built-in slat or solid base that supports the mattress directly, so no box spring is needed. It sits lower than a traditional bed, suits modern, low-profile bedroom styles, and removes a purchase from the list. Check the slat spacing against your mattress warranty, since some memory foam mattresses require slats no more than a set distance apart.

Do I need a box spring?

It depends on the bed. A platform bed with a slat base does not need one. A traditional bed frame with a headboard and footboard usually needs either a box spring or a foundation to support the mattress and meet the mattress warranty. Check the mattress documentation, since some manufacturers void coverage if the mattress sits on the wrong base.

What is the difference between a headboard kit and a complete bed?

A headboard, footboard, and slats kit gives you the visible parts of the bed and the mattress support, and it is often sold to pair with other pieces in the same series. A complete bed also includes the rails. Read the product title carefully, because a headboard sold on its own needs a frame to attach to.

How tall should a nightstand be?

Level with the top of your mattress, or within about 2 to 3 inches of it. Measure from the floor to the top of the mattress once it is on the bed, not to the top of the frame, since mattress thickness varies by several inches.

Does BrandsMart USA sell mattresses with bedroom furniture?

Yes, but as a separate department. Bedroom furniture includes beds, dressers, chests, and nightstands, while mattresses, bed frames, adjustable bases, box springs, and bedding are in our mattress department. Most shoppers buy both in the same visit.

Does bedroom furniture come assembled?

It varies by piece. Dressers, chests, and nightstands generally arrive fully assembled. Beds almost always ship in cartons and need the headboard, footboard, rails, and slats put together, which usually takes two people 30 to 60 minutes—the product page lists what is in the box.

Does BrandsMart USA deliver bedroom furniture and take the old set away?

Yes. We can deliver bedroom furniture across the Florida and Georgia markets we serve, with the piece placed in the room you choose. Haul-away with delivery removes qualifying old items at the same time, so arrange it when you schedule the delivery rather than on the day.

Where can I find cheap or clearance bedroom furniture?

Start with the clearance and open-box bedroom furniture at your nearest store, which carries the deepest markdowns we run, and compare a bedroom furniture set against buying the bed on its own. Bedroom furniture sales run through the year, and the best bedroom furniture deals are usually on clearance stock rather than on current collections. Sale pricing is shown on the product page when it applies.

Are there bedroom furniture stores near me?

BrandsMart USA has eleven stores across South Florida and metro Atlanta, with bedroom furniture set up on the floor so you can open the drawers and judge the finish in person. Use the store finder to see which one is closest and check stock for that location before you drive over.

Do you sell kids' or children's bedroom furniture?

Our bedroom assortment is built for adult and teen rooms rather than sold as a children's line, but twin and full pieces from most collections work well in a boy's or girl's bedroom, and a chest often fits better than a dresser in a smaller room. Check the twin and full options under Beds and Bedroom Sets.

What is a bedroom furniture collection?

A matched family of pieces sharing one finish, hardware design, and proportion, sold individually rather than as a fixed set. Buying from a collection lets you take the bed and nightstands now and add the chest or mirror later with the finish still matching. It is also how most of the solid wood and luxury designs are merchandised.

What bedroom furniture brands does BrandsMart USA carry?

Ashley Furniture and Signature Design by Ashley, Elements, Global Furniture, and Malouf. Availability varies by store, so check what is in stock at your selected store.

What financing options are available on bedroom furniture?

Three separate programs. The BrandsMart USA credit card offers special financing on qualifying purchases, with no interest if you pay the promotional balance in full within the promotional period. Katapult is lease-to-own, and you can check your buying power without affecting your credit score. Klarna splits a purchase into installments, with a decision in seconds. Each one underwrites differently, so if one is not a fit, another may be. Current terms are on our financing page.

Can I get a protection plan on bedroom furniture?

Yes. Our furniture protection plans go beyond the manufacturer's warranty and cover repairs and replacements, which is worth considering on a multi-piece bedroom set that you plan to keep for years.

Measure the room before you fall for the set

People buy bedroom furniture by mattress size and return it because of floor space. Start with the mattress footprint: a queen is 60 by 80 inches and a standard king is 76 by 80 (every standard size is listed in the questions below). A bed frame adds roughly 2 to 5 inches on each side, and a footboard adds a few inches at the end.

Then leave 24 to 30 inches of walkway on both sides of the bed and at the foot, so two people can get in and out, and the dresser drawers can open fully. Practically, that means a queen set wants a room of about 10 by 12 feet and a king set wants closer to 12 by 12. In a 10 by 10 room, a queen bed fits, but a queen bed plus a dresser plus a chest usually does not, and that is the point at which most people wish they had taped the floor first.

Match the storage to the closet you already have

A dresser is wide and low, holds folded clothes across two columns of drawers, and gives you a surface for a mirror, a lamp, or a TV. A chest is tall and narrow, holds a similar amount in roughly half the floor space, and suits a smaller bedroom or a second bedroom where wall space is limited.

The honest test is your closet. If it is deep and well-fitted, one dresser is usually enough, and the chest is optional. If closet space is tight, which it often is in older Florida and Georgia homes, take both, and order them at the same time so the finishes match. Nightstands are the piece people most often skimp on: a two-drawer nightstand hides the chargers, books, and medication that otherwise live on top of it.

Solid wood, veneer, or engineered wood

Solid wood bedroom furniture costs the most, holds its value best, and can be sanded and refinished when a drawer front gets scratched. It also moves slightly with humidity, which is worth knowing in this part of the country. Wood veneer over an engineered core gives you a real wood surface at a lower price and resists warping better than solid wood does, but a scratch deep enough to cut through the veneer cannot be sanded out.

Engineered wood and MDF keep prices down and are perfectly sensible for a guest room, a child's room, or a first apartment. What they do not tolerate is standing moisture. Whichever you buy, the details that predict how long it lasts are the same: ball-bearing drawer glides rather than plastic runners, dovetailed or stapled-and-glued drawer boxes rather than stapled alone, and a dust panel between drawers.

Colors and styles that still look right in five years

White bedroom furniture brightens a small or north-facing room and pairs with almost any bedding, which is why it is the most-searched finish of the lot. Distressed and off-white finishes hide scuffs better than a flat white. Black and dark brown read more formal and hide wear well, but they make a small room feel smaller. Gray and light natural wood sit in the middle and have been the safe modern default for years.

In terms of style, modern and contemporary bedroom furniture means clean lines, low profiles, slim or no footboards, and hardware that disappears. Traditional sets run heavier, with raised panels, bun feet, and visible pulls. Farmhouse and rustic sit between the two on a distressed or natural finish. Pick one direction for the big pieces, then let the lamps, bedding, and rug do the decorating. Those are the cheap things to change in three years when you want the room to feel different.

Plan the bedside before you buy the bed

Two measurements make a bedroom feel considered, not assembled. A nightstand should sit level with the top of the mattress, or within about 2 to 3 inches of it, so you can reach a glass of water without looking for it. A bedside lamp should have the bottom of the shade near shoulder height when you are sitting up in bed, which usually means a lamp 24 to 27 inches tall on a standard nightstand.

Think about power too. Several of our nightstands include USB or wireless charging in the top drawer or side panel, which removes the cable that would otherwise run across the floor. If yours does not, plan which side of the bed the outlet is on before you commit to a layout.

Bedroom furniture set or individual pieces?

A set makes sense when you are furnishing from scratch and want every finish to line up. A bedroom furniture set typically groups the bed with a dresser and mirror, and often a chest and one or two nightstands, at a lower combined price than the same pieces bought one at a time. It also removes the risk of two wood tones that are close but not the same, which is more noticeable in a bedroom than anywhere else because the pieces sit within a few feet of each other.

Buy the pieces individually when the room is an awkward shape, when you already own a bed you are keeping, or when you want a king bed with a smaller dresser than the set offers. If you do mix, hold one thing steady across the room, either the wood tone or the hardware finish. That is what separates a considered mix from a mismatch.

There is a middle ground: most bedroom furniture is sold in collections, matched families of pieces that share a finish and hardware design, such as Eleanor, Ridgemont, Tobias, and Logan. Shopping a collection rather than a fixed set lets you take the bed and two nightstands now and add the chest later, with the finish still guaranteed to match. Collections are also where the solid-wood and luxury end of the assortment lives, with solid-wood tops, felt-lined drawers, and crystal or LED detailing.

Queen or king: which bed suits your room?

A queen is the right answer for most bedrooms. At 60 by 80 inches, it sleeps two adults comfortably; it fits a 10 by 12 room with walkways intact; the bedding is cheaper and easier to find; and moving it up a stairwell is a two-person job, not a problem. If you are furnishing a guest room, a second bedroom, or a first home, buy the queen.

Step up to a king if the main bedroom is 12 by 12 or larger, if either sleeper is tall, or if children and pets regularly end up in the bed. A standard king adds 16 inches of width over a queen, which is the difference people actually feel. Check two things before you order: that the room still leaves 24 inches of walkway on both sides, and that a king set's dresser and chest have somewhere to go once the bed is in place. A California king is narrower and four inches longer than a standard king, so it suits a tall sleeper in a narrow room.

Drawer action, finish quality, and how a headboard actually reads against a wall are difficult to judge from a photograph, and every piece here can be seen in person. If you have been searching for bedroom furniture near you, we have eleven showrooms across South Florida and metro Atlanta.

Each showroom's page in our store finder lists the address, phone number, and current hours. You can also find the nearest store or order online and pick up in-store.

Buy whichever way suits you. See the bedroom sets in person at any of our showrooms across Florida and Georgia, order online and collect in-store, or have your bedroom furniture delivered and placed in the room, with haul-away of the old set available on qualifying items. Financing is available on qualifying purchases. Bring your room dimensions and the mattress size you plan to use; together, they answer what will actually fit and look the best in your space.
