Our Everyday Safe-Cut Can Opener has a patented design that safely separates the lid from the can with no sharp edges, then lifts the lid from the can. Then the lid is released automatically, for disposal or use. Because the lid is removed rather than cut, it can be placed back on the can for temporary storage. This has a hardened steel cutting blade the never comes in contact with food, for less risk of contamination. The stainless steel guide wire is heavy gauge for plenty of use and the solid seamless handle design is easy to clean.
