Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

I purchased this oven on 12/24/ 2015, and I can not rave enough about it!!! I have not used my full size oven (except for the cooktop to boil pasta) since Christmas day of 2015. That is six weeks, and I love to cook. I have made homemade pizza, beef wellington, steaks, burgers, oven fried chicken, and even baked a full size homemade German Chocolate cake in this oven. I did purchase some smaller cookie sheets for this oven since my standard size did not fit. This oven is absolutely the BOMB!!!!! Thank you Oster for making me a very happy girl!!! I am planning on doing a cooking blog on Utube using your product and I hope u will follow me. Happy cooking!!

Touch sensitive panel problems

By ShawnVT

from Vermont

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

Bought this just a year ago and all of a sudden the touch sensitive panel is starting to act up. It requires multiple presses to get the bake button to work. Also, the temperature control is very fussy - works some time, sometimes not. I am not a fan of these touch panels. Our microwave had the same issues after a few years. Otherwise it is a great product.

Great so far

By bcsparks

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

Well, we have had the oven for 2 weeks, so far so good, I must say I am a little discouraged by the comments about the digital screen going bad. We purchased this one because it is more compact on the counter than the Black and Decker we had, and the screen lights up, the B+D screen did not. although to be fair the B+D unit could hold a large pizza, this one cannot, and the B+D showed temp as it preheated, and had guards over the bottom elements. We are still learning on this one. I think it is a good value for the price. We will see, will try to remember to come back and update later.

Oster Microwave

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

We purchased two Oster microwaves less than two years ago. Both have pretty much rotted thru the bottom where the turn table turns. The paint has lifted off the bottom and where the wheels run is nothing but rust. I cannot believe these microwaves have not been recalled. Do not purchase one of these units, as they are unsafe.

Oven runs 125 degrees too hot

By Nickster

from Downers Grove, IL

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

This oven looks great but performs poorly. After burning cookies a few times, I put an oven thermometer inside the unit and discovered it heats at 125 degrees hotter than the setting. Knowing this now, at least I won't burn any more food.

Fills the Bill

By James65

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

This was purchased to replace a smaller oven of another brand,I like everything about this product, except the timer function. Wish it could be turned off for things that take more than 90 minutes to cook. Even with this small problem it does what I bought it to do.

Great size but unreliable temp.

By LovetoChat

from Simi Valley, CA, United States

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

Purchased in Dec. 2015. It takes quite a while to come to temp. Oven thermometer I placed inside is accurate. When I opened the door to put pan inside, the temp dropped 25 degrees and would not come back to correct temp after 10-15 min. I had to increase the temp 50 degrees to get it back to the 400 degrees that it originally was. The brownies were burned on the top and not done in the middle. It overcooked the pizza before the baking time was up. The glass door needs to have a metal frame around it so that the glass doesn't lay on the cold counter when hot. Due to its size (which I love), the handle hangs over the counter and I'm afraid without a towel under the door, it could crack. When you set the timer for preheat, it shouldn't read "END" and turn off; the buzzer is nice that it lets you know when the pre-heat is done, but my oven is not at set temperature when the buzzer goes off. I'm hoping that either Oster customer service can solve my problems and replace my oven. I had a smaller Oster oven previously for about 8 yrs. and loved it so I purchased another Oster hoping I would have the same quality.

Perfect for our RV; holds heat, bakes evenly

By Conscientious

from South Coastal Texas

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

I bought this to use when we are out and about in our RV. I am very pleased with its performance. Even in cooler weather, (50 degrees Fahrenheit, for instance), it heats up very quickly and holds the heat evenly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this oven produces the same--or better--results as the built-in oven in my home kitchen! Large and small and oddly-shaped foods are evenly cooked: No hot spots, no cold spots. While our new motor coach is well-equipped with the latest and greatest, we don't really like to sleep alongside our cooking odors. So, I prefer to use this oven outside rather than the one installed in the RV. It moves back and forth from a storage area out to a sturdy table under an awning. Thanksgiving weekend I cooked out in cold wind, mist and rain. I was able to keep the oven away from the wetness, and I am happy to report that I baked the most perfect pumpkin pie I've ever made. Then in went a turkey breast, and that came out great, too. All guests were suitably impressed. (And now more of our RV buddies have the same model--it's really a great value!) We've used the oven repeatedly in the past several months, and it has proved its reliability: Roasted whole chickens, casseroles, deli pizzas, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more cookies--all baked properly. Besides its ability to heat quickly and hold a temperature evenly, I appreciate these other features: --Temperatures are always accurate. --Even large items bake evenly. --It is easy to clean up. --It is light weight enough to lift from below waist level up to a table top. --Its outside bottom stays cool enough that I can safely use it on a sturdy folding table. It preheats almost instantly. --It has easy-to-set control knobs, (actually easier to use than digital controls). --For safety, it will turn itself off when the timer dings. (And the "ding" is plenty loud enough.)

Was great while it lasted.

By Disposable junk

from Santa Clara, CA, United States

Comments about Oster Convection Countertop Oven:

We received this as a gift for Christmas 2014. While the power light never worked, the convection function worked well and we used it frequently when making smaller items. Unfortunately, a year later - and just outside of the warranty - that is no longer the case. While heating up a batch of sweet potato fries the fan started making an awful noise and has now stopped working. It still seems to be functioning as a toaster oven, but that's not really worth the cost. My parents had a convection oven that lasted over 30 years, why is everything such junk now?!
