Pros

  • Cleans Hard To Reach Spots
  • Clean Teeth
  • Durable
  • Easy To Use
  • Gentle On Gums

Cons

Comments about Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet:

My dental hygienist a few years ago suggested I purchase a Water Pik instead of using dental floss. Every few years I need to replace one. I find them easy to use and that my gums and teeth are better for it. I am 75 years of age and want to retain my own teeth in my mouth as long as I can, because I dread having store bought teeth as I age. Nancy

Decent Update but Not There Yet

Comments about Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet:

Nice update from my old water pick. The chassis is smaller and the pump/motor much quieter. Some minor drawbacks:

The fit of the wand handle and storage cradle is a bit sloppy and feels like it was designed for a different size handle. Should be a soft but snug click fit. As before, the hose is too stiff and hinders manuvering. A super-flexible, soft hose would be nice. Hose durabity in the past has been a problem; I have had to replace hoses a couple of times over the years but I tend to keep things a long time. It's a real chore too, not for the average user. (Toyota proved that people prefer things that last a long time)

Comments about Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet:

Not easy to maneuver in your mouth do to the tightly coiled hose.
I use it daily to floss and get beneath the gum line without the damaging them as floss tends to.
If you are not careful you can spray your bathroom with water so you have to be sure to turn it on and off while fully in your mouth. I feel with today's technology they could develop
The reason for recommending it is primarily that there is nothing out that is better. :(
