this is a request for help, not a review

By EdyK

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

hi Sunbeam, I bought this machine from a friend and just used it to make banana bread. I like it and it seems to work just fine, including the bowl turns as I'd expect. Not sure what those are talking about that says it doesn't turn! Anyway, I can't get the righthand (square) beater out and I can't find anywhere on the web that explains how to get it out. Please help!!! I would expect it to be intuitive and the other one did come out... how do I do it?? Anyone feel free to jump in and let me know!

Stopped working, no Syncronized bowl & beater

By DawnaC

from Oregon USA

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

Used it once, beaters clanked together, had to keep taking apart, then they locked up and one beater no longer turns at all. Box claimed bowl and beaters were synchronized but they absolutely are not. Very disappointed. Still under warranty but not sure I trust this model anymore since several others have also reviewed the beaters stop working, One claimed he took his apart and it was plastic inside, not "die-cast metal" as advertised on the box. Seems like a piece of junk. Glad I kept my old one, that still works, I thought I was upgrading my mixer when I bought this piece of garbage. Obviously I was wrong.

Sunbeam Heritage Series Stand Mixer

By Meme

from Undisclosed

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

I am very disappointed in this mixer compared with the Legacy Series I used for years. I am 81 and have used Sunbeam for 55 years. The bowls are light and didn`t realize I had to manually turn them. (my mistake) I wouldn`t recommend this mixer.

Mixer works great, only the beaters

By Reno

from Guam

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

I bought a heritage series stand mixer for a week. Everything was perfect except beaters. Only use it twice, both beaters start to show rust spot. I washed them with soap, warm water and air dry. Not sure what cause the problem. I am thinking about take it back to store.

So-so

By Trishaaa

from Indianapolis

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

I had a Sunbeam mixer for years and used it weekly. It did a wonderful job of beating, mixing, etc. When the motor died I decided to replace it with another Sunbeam. The new one does a TERRIBLE job of beating...to beat egg yolks to thick it took over 20 minutes, when the old one was done in about 7 minutes! The power is so much less than my old one.It never gets all ingredients along bowls side, and I do not like not being able to disengage head from stand as my previous one, even though it was heavy to hold.

Nice mixer for the cost $$$

By lawnboy

from Mankato, MN, United States

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

I bought this mixer in Tangerine. I also got a Heritage hand mixer in silver. Both work perfect for anything most people would use this for. It is not a commercial mixer like some expect. But 99% of us don't use it like that anyway. We make cookies, cake, maybe mashed potatoes. And as far as I am concerned it has always met my expectations. So I do recommend this mixer, and the colors are a cool touch.

Bowl will not spin

By Disappointed baker

from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Comments about Sunbeam 4.6 Quart Heritage Series Stand Mixer:

I have been buying the heritage series for over ten years because I like the double beaters. I buy two new ones every year or every other year depending how long they last because I use them often and the motor in the base tend to go bad after a year or two. 2015 I bought two more and was horrified when the bowls did not spin. I have exchanged them twice. Still the bowl does not spin. Why did they take the motor out of the base that made the bowl spin? If I wanted to turn the bowl myself I would use a hand mixer. I liked the old ones so much I keep them hoping that I find someone to replace the motor in the base. I have about ten of them. Please put the motor back in the base because this mixer is driving me crazy with me having to turn the bowl. I would hate to have to get Kitchen Aids with the one mixer. Or please tell me how to fix the base motors in the many that I have. Help
