Comments about Sony Progressive Scan DVD Player:

I would buy this player if I were buying it for me. When I bought 2 of them they were for other people and they are happy with their purchase. A++++

Its a basic DVD player

By johnnythegeek

Comments about Sony Progressive Scan DVD Player:

The other reviewer obviously did not realize this is NOT a HD player and the person should have bought a better player. I actually bought it for a CD player but it works just as well as a standard definition DVD player. It does provide setup options for a HD TV but no HDMI. As I said, its a basic DVD player and cheap.

Don't waste your time or money!!!

By Bucklehead

from Marrero,La

Comments about Sony Progressive Scan DVD Player:

Majority of new television sets have 1080p. However, this DVD/CD player only has a capability of 480p which leaves you with a green tint when you try to play a DVD! Know where on the box does it state that it has 480p. In order to find this information out, you have to Google it!

Comments about Sony Progressive Scan DVD Player:

It didn't come with a record button for anyone who wants to record. It is slim and takes little space - not hard to use but it was confusing to hook up in the back. couldn't figure out hot to hook up to a VHS player or even if you could.
