Product Overview↑ Back to Top

Philips
The Philips SB365 delivers superb sound in great style. Stream music from your phone wirelessly over Bluetooth for effortless enjoyment. It also charges any smart device using USB. Bass Reflex Speaker System delivers a deep bass experience from a compact loudspeaker box system. It differs from a conventional loudspeaker box system in the addition of a bass pipe that is acoustically aligned to the woofer to optimize the low frequency roll-off of the system. The result is deeper controlled bass and lower distortion. The system works by resonating the air mass in the bass pipe to vibrate like a conventional woofer. Combined with the response of the woofer, the system extends the overall low frequency sounds to create a whole new dimension of deep bass.

With advanced technology, sound streamed via Bluetooth is brought to the next level. Standard Bluetooth audio uses SBC codec that is built for basic audio transmission, leaving listeners sometimes disappointed and dissatisfied. The Philips speaker, however, is armed with high fidelity (aptX and AAC) Bluetooth wireless technology giving you rich, powerful and crystal clear sound. Compatible with both latest Android and Apple iOS smartphones, tablets, and other devices, Philips now delivers the audio quality you have come to expect. Wireless music never sounded this good.

Volume stopped

By tracyd

from Fishers, Indiana

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

I've had this only a few months and the volume no longer goes very high at all. It simply stops at about the halfway point of how loud it used to get. I can no longer hear it when I'm in another room and can barely hear it when I'm in the same room.

Won't charge anymore.

By Dissapointed13

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

Bought 4 months ago. Now it won't charge. Was great while it worked. To last only 4 months is a waste of money.

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

Since December 22nd I'm on my third one!!! My first two suddenly stopped playing, and my last one doesn't want to charge! If I return this one, it'll be for the cash, not an exchange!

Compact, great features, mediocre sound

By MontanaGlen

from East Helena, Montana

Pros

  • 3.5mm input provided
  • adequate room-filling sound
  • bluetooth connects easily via nfc
  • compact
  • usb charge port on back

Cons

  • bass is boomy
  • can't find the volume buttons by touch
  • mid- and high end weak a bit muddy.
  • stopped running on external power

Best Uses

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

Received this speaker as a gift. Easily pairs w/ phone's Bluetooth using NFC. Adequate volume for my kitchen/dining room. Mid-bass response is good, but overwhelms midrange and treble when using a flat audio source via either Bluetooth or the conveniently-supplied 3.5mm plug stereo input wire. Using my player's equalizer tames the sound. The unit will run on 4 AA batteries or a wall transformer. RECENTLY, HOWEVER, the AC-power circuit stopped working inside the speaker (the wall wart tests good), though it still runs on battery. GUESS I'LL GET TO SEE HOW GOOD PHILIPS' WARRANTY IS!

Worked well for a month. Then it stopped taking a charge and won't even work more than 30seconds when plugged in.

    Disappointing performance

    By Melonhead

    from Greenville

    Pros

    • looks decent

    Cons

    • ac adaptor doesn't last
    • buttons don't work all the time
    • performance on batteries

    Best Uses

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

I bought this as a speaker I could use outside while I worked. The AC adaptor gave out after a few months and the performance on batteries is absolutely abysmal. Sure it looks good, but everything else sucks!

shuts its own power off. no fix.

      By jrtaylor

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

The speakers sound good. However the speakers have a factory-set power saving feature, which requires that you have to keep manually turning them on again, even if you've kept them plugged into your computer. Power saving is a great thing, but not when it is thoughtlessly incorporated into a product you expect to work whenever you want to play videos or music.

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

Although it worked pretty well when device was plugged in to the Philips. The sound was not extremely loud. And as for the bluetooth, well I could barely get a whisper out of it. Do Not buy. I am returning.

Comments about Philips Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Speaker:

Paired and connected with my Android phone and tablet. Volume was almost none existent in both. Paired with my newer Dell laptop, but would not connect. Spent an hour at least with a Philips technician, all to no avail. It works fine when hard wired to my laptop. But that is not why it was purchased! Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Would have saved on a lot of frustration! Returning this ASAP!
