Product Overview↑ Back to Top

The Mio Global 56PGRYL LINK Wristband is a wrist-worn watch that provides continuous heart rate monitoring so that you can assess your training intensity in real-time. You won't need to wear a chest strap, just the watch. The LINK is tested to perform at 99% EKG accuracy even at speeds of up to 14.4 miles per hour. It's also water resistant so it can stand up to even the most intense workouts. You can select one of five heart rate zones for customization. Connect to your fitness apps and devices wirelessly via Bluetooth Smart 4.0 and ANT technology. The watch is designed to fit 4.8 - 6.9" wrists.

LED lights and an electro-optical cell "sense" the volume of blood under the skin. From there, sophisticated algorithms are applied to the pulse signal so that the heart's true rhythm can be detected, even while running at performance speeds. Connect to your favorite mobile fitness apps like Endomondo Sports Tracker, RunKeeper, MapMyRun, adidas MiCoach, and more through Bluetooth Smart (4.0) technology and ANT technology.

During extensive testing against the top heart rate chest strap brands, Mio ALPHA consistently performed with 99% EKG accuracy, even while running at speeds of up to 14.4 miles per hour. Heart rate training helps you train more efficiently and effectively, so you can optimize your performance and maximize your workout. Mio LINK offers up to five customizable heart rate zones with LED lights that can tell you which zone you're in at any given moment, so you can stay on track with your training goals. Mio LINK delivers performance and comfort. Its soft, durable silicon strap ensures a snug and comfortable fit - there's no need for a bulky chest strap either.

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

This is my 4th Mio Link and it works perfectly every time and only replaced due to normal wear and tear.

Useless. COMPLETELY. Terrible.

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

This thing has to be placed just so on your wrist or else it doesn't get a reading. Forget sweating and working out hard - if it slips it'll probably think you've died and have no heart rate anymore. I've used this in 8 orange theory workouts and EVERY TIME it's stopped reading my heart rate. I'm going back to a chest strap.

Poorly, let moisture.

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

After a bit of use out of order due to sweat. Thought that marriage, bought a second device, however, the situation repeats itself, from moisture (sweat) got corrupted. Repair devices is expensive. The device itself is nice and comfortable. Very sad.

Great device

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

Bought this in Nov 2014 and it's worked really well since then. Way more comfortable than a chest strap. However after less than 2 years fairly heavy usage the battery is starting to fail. The FAQ says that it should be fine for at least 5 years but my experience says otherwise. Today, after being on the charger for the past 2 days, it died 18 minutes into my run. While it's more comfortable and convenient than a chest strap, the non replaceable battery makes me hesitant to recommend it to someone clocking up milage.

Great accuracy. Good size. Simple to pair.

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

This is my 2nd MIO device. First being the Alpha 2; and it was a great device for running and monitoring my heart rate. The downside of it was does not have GPS and I would have to pair it with my phone fitness app. After getting the Fenix 3 sapphire, I bought the MIO Link to pair with for my workouts (i.e. Jogging, swimming, cycling, cross fit, etc). And this combi is insanely good, the ANT+ connection works like a charm. The accuracy pairing with the Fenix 3 is very good (compared to the Scosche Rhythm+ where the calories calculations is always wrong for some reason but the MIO Link had no such problem). The battery life is also pretty impressive. MIO states 8 hours officially; and it is right on the money if not longer than that. To me, the thing I love most is the design and its ergonomics. It is so comfortable (better than the Alpha 2 I think). Small enough to wear together on the same wrist with my Fenix 3. Thanks for such an amazing product. Keep up the great work.

Great when I can get it to charge

By Agnieszka

from St. Louis, MO, United States

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

This is my second Mio Link. I had to replace first one because I had a lot of trouble charging it after about a year of using it. Well I have the second only maybe 3-4 months and same issue is starting. This is terribly aggravating since I need the tool almost every day.

Good device, as long as it works

By tumbleweed

Comments about Mio LINK Heart Rate Wristband:

I bought the device when it had just come out in 2014. The sensor appears very accurate and it's great to not have to wear a sensor belt around your chest. Unfortunately, there's a caveat. While I was really happy with it for the first couple of months of use, it has since become utterly frustrating due to its charging routine that is totally unreliable. The device seems to be charging, but 50% when you start your exercise it just isn't charged. Needless to say, this renders the device practically useless as you can't rely on it. Sad, as it's a great product when it works, but based on this erratic behavior I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
