Not working well with MacOS

By MmtBkn

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

I bought this product because of reviews about it's ergonomy. However, I'm notable to use it with MacOS properly. When I turn my computer on, I have to re-pair it again. Even, it some times just disconnects, and doesn't connect without re-pairing.

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

I am wondering if there is a defect. I have tried many different finger touch techniques and nothing works. I do not recommend this item. I find it very frustrating. The left and right clicks are difficult to use as well. Not sure if it is me, but I would say not!!!!!

Great mouse when it works...

By oldnerd

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

It is a great little mouse. Light to the touch and responsive, when it works. I have the Bluetooth version and it constantly loses communications which I find very odd. This is a Microsoft mouse operating under Windows 10. It should work, period. But no...I always have to go to the Bluetooth settings to refresh the link. Very annoying.

Expensive (for a mouse) but very nice

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

I bought my Surface 6 months ago and considered this mouse then. But, I thought it was too expensive for "just a mouse". Then, when I purchased my wife's new laptop, I decided to get. By this point, I needed a mouse because I often need pin-point control to select / manipulate things in Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs. Once I got it, I was very impressed. First, I didn't know about the touch-version of a scroll wheel. And, it has audible feedback when scrolling! But, the best feature is the flat design for storage. Having a "thick" mouse with a Surface would make no sense. When flat, it easily fits in my carrying pouch. Besides the price, the only other drawback (so far... after 1 month) is the fact that AAA batteries are needed. As a general rule, I dislike items that require disposable batteries unless they last a LONG time (like a watch). So, only time will tell with this Surface Arc Mouse if I can up my rating to 5 Stars. We're at 4 for now.

Just acquired and found to be excellent - quick response to buttons and ease of use. I have just travelled from, USA to UK and found it easy to flatten and pack - great versatility.

Would not recommend at this stage

By asmarkis

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

Scrolling drops randomly and slowly until it doesn't work anymore. Turning it off and on again fixes it for a while.... Terrible! Often accidentally hit the page up/down on the touch scroll section. And accidentally double-tap every so often. Every once in a while the connection will drop, but that could be the laptop's fault. NOT ERGONOMIC. This mouse is NOT comfortable! I enjoy the on/off method and portability, but this mouse is very difficult to hold! For the same price, I have bought a "gaming" mouse (might as well be called professional though) and it is comfortable, never looses connection, and much easier to control than this. Not worth getting this mouse for portability. If they would create an ergonomically friendly version and fix the scrolling issues (or customization somehow), then I would be able to recommend this to everyone. Imagine a both portable AND comfortable AND controllable mouse, it would be worth an extra cost!!

Hard to control at time

By ForestDoc

from Undisclosed

Comments about Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition:

I bought Microsoft Arc Touch with a new Surface Notebook. While it fits and tracks well, the haptic scroll is erratic and hard to control. Trying to scroll upwards and downwards always engages the automatic scroll feature and this causes the function to become uncontrollable.
