The picture is amazing!!! When I'm watching in full 4k UHD, (signal & equip)., And there is a close up of someone's face, on this TV, IT looks the same as in the theater. Awesome that you can have that kind of picture in your living room!!

Comments about LG 65" Class Smart OLED 4K HDR UltraHD Premium TV With WebOS 3.0:

Yes, the picture is all that the reviews claim. Contrast is fantastic and the blacks are absolutely black. Buy this TV if you are setting up a theater area and can justify the expense. Don't buy this TV if you can't afford it. Don't buy this TV if you are going to set it up in your bright living room and watch sports, sit-coms, and reality TV. Save your money and buy the entry level 4K Samsung. You will never look at the cheaper 4K TV and think that it is a piece of garbage... it's still a great TV. I have both... 55in. Samsung 6300 series and this 65in OLED. I like them both. The Samsung is in the living room and gets used for sports and normal TV. The OLED is in the dark basement with surround sound and is the go-to for movies or true 4K content from Netflix, etc. But again, we originally had the Samsung in the basement and it was still a good TV. In closing, yes, the OLED matches it's hype. I'm glad I bought it. But it's a lot of money that you are paying to squeak out that last bit of performance. So I think it's fair to consider other options (eg LED's with local dimming) that don't impact the family budget as much.

Does not support Dolby Atmos over ARC

              By warnija

Comments about LG 65" Class Smart OLED 4K HDR UltraHD Premium TV With WebOS 3.0:

I bought this TV for my media room with the understanding that it supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision (including the Atmos soundtrack). However, there is no ability to send Dolby Atmos via ARC to a home theather receiver when viewing Dolby Vision movies using apps like Netfilx, Vudu and Amazon. According to the LG rep at CES 2017, there is currently no planned firmware updates to any of the 2016 LG models to address this issue. If you only care about a pretty picture when using the included apps then this TV is for you. If you expect top notch sound to accompany that picture than it's best that you buy a 2017 model.

Got the tv a few days ago. I thought it was great, but last night while streaming a show thru my xbox1 (amazon). I kept seeing almost rippled / wavey colors. Especially green. My girlfriend noticed the same thing.

I bought this OLED TV one month ago today. I paid more than I was planning on for a typical 4K LED TV but the extra $ is well worth it because of the much better quality of picture.

I bought this TV about a month ago. Actually after years of working on and finally breaking down the wife I got her to agree to purchase the 55" model. The picture was actually stunning leaving my wife and myself actually slack jawed. While I had my wife at a weak moment and smelled blood in the water I traded the 55" in for the 65" and she's never been happier. Frankly there is no better TV on the market. Our previous TV was a Panasonic plasma which was the benchmark for all other TV's. This TV is about as close to a plasma as you can get. Excellent off axis viewing, true black, and an operating system WEB OS that makes setup and adjusting as easy as it gets. A small amount of jittering during fast motion but hardly noticeable. My biggest complaint would be the magic remote: it's really not all that magic. If you connect external devices such as Blue ray players, cable boxes through your home theater receiver then you can't program the remote to operate the external devices. You can only control the devices that are directly connected to the TV (a bad design) Our Panasonic allowed you to program the external device remotes to operate the TV (a better idea). Suggest buying a separate programmable remote; other than that no better a TV on the planet.
