      Hard to keep clean......

      By JimCee

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range:

Great range. Burners work well but everything that spills and spatters falls through the cast iron grates onto the enameled top and is a GIANT pain to keep clean. Would like to see some kind of inserts that sit on top and can be removed easily and put in the dishwasher

      Good & Bad

      By DesignMom

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range:

Purchased 1yr ago and has needed warranty service once already which has corrected the issue of the oven not lighting. I wanted a (5) burner, but now that I have been working with this appliance I realize that the 5th burner is not worth the additional dollars on a 30in wide range. The burner placement in relation to one another is inconvenient, I will NEVER be able to fit (5) pans on the stove at one time (unless they are all one quart sauce pans). The power burners are a bit tricky to work with, the flame on the high setting is so high that it typically over powers the pan, no matter the size. Even though I am less than thrilled with the burner features and placement, the range does perform well and the oven is large, with a large window that I like.

Easy to use and has all the features I will ever need.  I don't want to feel I have to a Ph.D. to cook a meal.

I love my kitchenaid stove and oven. It's a little difficult to clean the cast iron burners, but other than that I love love love it.

      AquaDirty

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range:

The grate covers are large and bulky. They are wonderful for cooking, but can be a handful when trying to clean. When they are removed the stove top is a breeze to clean. The AquaClean technology hasn't performed for us. We have had to find a alternate method to clean the oven. Cooking and features of this unit are great.

      Love the new updates

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range:

I like not having to scrub burner pans anymore. My favorite feature is the preheat screen that shows what temperature my oven is at and when it is at the required temp. I love the huge oven screen that lights up and allows me to see how my food is cooking without opening the door. Convection cooking is wonderful option. I am also glad the gas stoves have the added drawer for storage now.

      So Far OK?

      By 1rickw

from Redwood City, CA, United States

Comments about KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Gas Range:

Our first few tries with this took forever to cook at the desired temp. Turned out the oven was about 25-30 degrees low. Made the adjustment and it is much better. Our only complaint now is that the broiler is very uneven across the oven. Have to move stuff around as it browns. We cooked on an electric stove (1962 Frigidaire Flair) for over 40 years until it died. We switched to gas with this one. Took a little bit getting used to it.
