Great Gift for Beginning Sewer

By JACCAL

from Asheville, NC, United States

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my daughter and she loves it. She has a 2 year old daughter and 3 1/2 year old son and is looking forward to many years making them very special clothes and costumes for Halloween and school plays.

Nice

By Bevy

from Mayville, NY, United States

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

Nice machine. I haven't sewn in quite a while and some things have been a little hard to adapt to. I wish the numbers on the guide lines were easier to see while I am sewing. Wish the instruction manual was more user friendly. I really have no idea what to do with most of the stitches. I love the needle threaded now that I have learned how to use it. I also love being able to see the bobbin.

Best Purchase Ever

By Beachmomma

from Orlando, FL, United States

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

This machine is everything i needed and more. Best for a beginner with no trainng like me. The instruction manual clearly explained everything. I was able to make a customized high chair cushion (with piping, buttons and outdoor fabric) for my baby. I purchased extra heavy duty needles and a piping foot for my project. This is a goodlooking and dainty machine too!

Beginner in Sewing

By Ms A

from California, United States

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

Although I am new to sewing, this machine has been great so far. I just need the patience to learn more about the basics of sewing. Able to troubleshoot most problems I run into (read owners manual). It could use a brighter light and a magnifying lens would make this the perfect machine.

Very New, Still Learning

By AJoiner

from Taylor, MI

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

This is the first sewing machine I have ever purchased and I am fairly new at it. The directions to how to thread the bobbin and thread the machine are very clear and pretty easy to follow. I've only hemmed curtains and practices sewing fabric together, but so far so good. I would recommend to a beginner.

Love it!

By Chrissie

from Grosse Ile, Michigan

Comments about Brother Free Arm Sewing Machine:

I am in my mid (okay, late) 60's. Initially learned to sew in school and even made a few outfits. My (x) husband bought me a very expensive and nice Singer machine which had discs to do different stitches. I never used the machine for anything other than to hem slacks or repair sewing. Bobbin constantly jammed and I had to get it repaired. Current spouse bought me the Brother and I love it. 25 different stitches without doing anything other than move a dial. It even threads the needle which is great with my sight not as good as it was.
