Product Overview↑ Back to Top

Sony's Cyber-Shot DSC-W620 Digital Camera (Silver) features a sharp 5x wide-angle optical 25-125mm (equivalent in 35mm format) lens that's great for landscapes, parties, kids, portraits--any kind of photo or video that can be captured using a wide-angle-to-telephoto range. This little beauty weighs just 3.8 oz (107.7 g), and fits in a shirt pocket (3.75 x 2.25 x 0.75"), so you can always carry it with you and never miss a shot. The 2.7" LCD monitor makes it easy to compose and view photographs. Superb 1280 x 720 HD video is at your fingertips as well. A Sweep Panorama mode makes it simple to produce an impressive 360° panoramic photo, even without a tripod, and sensitivity up to 3200 ISO means you can wave good-bye to blurry pictures, even in dim lighting situations. Friends and family will love the way they look in your photos when you're using the Smile Shutter (captures a smile the moment it appears on your subject's face), Anti-Blink (waits until eyes are open to take the picture), and Soft Skin (removes blemishes and wrinkles from faces in your pictures) modes. And, best of all, the W620 will do it all automatically--just press the shutter button in iAuto mode. Great pictures and videos--no stress, no strain.

For the money, this is the nest little camera. Takes great stills, very good video and accepts many sizes of memory cards. Absolutely worth the money.

        Sony W620 very disappointing

        By CaptainPeter

Comments about Sony 14.1 MP Cybershot Digital Camera:

Overall very disappointing. Most pictures having to use flash turned out blurred or had a shadow/double vision effect. The zoom and digital stabilizer did not work well together. Most pictures taken (and I have taken a lot of them - I have had to, due to poor performance of camera) did not produce crisp images. In fact there was considerable noise in a few of them. The panoramic setting produced better results than the stills. It is a shame as the spec for the W620 looked promising. Sorry, but I am going back to my old Canon Powershot A630.

        Okay for the Money

Comments about Sony 14.1 MP Cybershot Digital Camera:

A good camera, cool features like the Panorama. One thing I love is the feature where you shoot in B&W but you choose one color to stand out. I didn't have that on any of my previous cameras. It has a junky feel though. The back of the camera is plastic and it looks junky. It's a little thicker than a Canon or other Sony cameras but for $120, it's a good buy.
