      UWA-BR100- Weak Performance

      By csparkman65

      from Denver, CO

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

I have multiple Sony Internet ready TVs in various rooms of our home. These USB Ethernet devices have terrible range, I'm sad to say. And seem to get worse over time. For my downstairs TV, I bought a Cisco bridge. My newest Sony TV has the ethernet ability built in! Thank goodness!

      terrible antenna

      By dtbaker61

      from santa fe, nm

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

it is unfortunate that the only compatible usb wifi adaptor for sony TVs is so bad... the antenna in these things is terrible, barely picking up a signal from my router which is less than 20' away though just one wall. it might help if we knew what the best orientation for reception is so an extension cable/base could be used to maximize reception. I recommend it grudgingly, because its the only one compatible with Sony TVs.

      My worst purchase ever

      By Kringle

      from Au

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

I bought this Sony wifi dongle just about a year and a half ago. It worked fine for the first 3 months only. After that it started showing only one bar only on wifi signal. But my all other wireless devices was having no problems with signal. 2 months later it completely stopped working and cannot access Internet at all.

      UWA-BR100 Very Disappointing

      By mccurrj

      from SC

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

I am a Sony Fan and have many Sony products including 3 large, widescreen TVs. However, my advice is “Do Not Buy This Adapter. To begin with, It cost too much. It stopped working in about 1.5 yrs. When it did work it would only pass a WEAK signal to the TV despite the proximity to the router. …just take a look at the overwhelming 1 Star Reviews.

      Wireless Adapter-UWABR100

      By HMS1

      from Las Vegas, NV

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

Love love love it. It's so great to now have YouTube and much more programming than I realized I would be able to receive. Saved the hassle of having to use the only hardwire cable that is attached to our wireless router. We've had it hooked up for about 10 days now, and it's worked great since plugging it in. Terrible range

      By corduroy41

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

I've had this adapter plugged into my KDL-EX711 for a year and a half. Worked great out of the box for about 3 months. Gradually over time, the signal from my router would get weaker. Replaced the router, and made no difference. Replaced router again 6 months later hoping this would help, but no difference. New router has incredible range.. I can walk 100ft down the street and still connect with my tablet. No luck with the tv. This adapter is a waste of time and money. I've noticed the other reviews seem to state the same fact.

Buy a tv or home theatre with built in wireless

      By Butterflyjourney

      from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Sony Wireless LAN Adapter:

When watching Netflix or Youtube, there is a constant disruption! Also, the signal will drop (periodically) and must hit "retry". I highly suggest buying a tv or home theatre with built in wireless. There is no updates or trouble shooting guide, at least, none that I can find. ***I've owned this product for about a year***
